The Brilliant Smart Wifi A60 RGB+W globe is a part of the Brilliant Smart eco system and is sold at Officeworks or Aldi occationally in Australia.

Please note that this guide is at the time of writing is untested, however the information sourced matches up and is very similar to the Arlec light bulb range. Information for this bulb has been sourced from here and  here.

Getting it up and running

Tuya Convert

As with light bulbs running on the Tuya platform, there are no physical buttons. You will follow the same flashing method that a Tuya Edison or Bayonet bulb will follow. To enter pairing mode turn the bulb on and off three times. This will cause the bulb to start flashing indicating you have sucesfully entered pairing mode.

  • Connect and disconnect power from the bulb three times.
  • The light bulb will start flashing - this indicates the device has entered pairing mode succesfully and is ready to see tuya-convert.
  • Follow tuya-convert flashing procedure.

Configuration

Note that this is a multi colour bulb. It also specifically describes the bulb with RGB+W. This is important to pickup as this also will be required to add to the ESPHome configuration file to control this light. There are two different functions we can use in the configuration file, monochromatic and rgbw.

To match the original functionality we will keep it running in RGBW however if you wanted to only use the bulb with warm and cool white colors you would need to use monochromatic.
